asyouwish2010: My dog bit another dog. I'm just at a loss.
My dog is spayed, had rigorous training, been around many dogs, and has never had a problem. But today she bolted out the front door and went after another dog! She bit the dog on the neck and there was a small cut. I took her back inside and went straight back to talk to the owner. He said she was shaken up but was ok. He said he would take her home and put peroxide on it. I am so afraid to lose my dog. Should I check on the dog tomorrow? Should I report it? This has never happened and she is even in training to be a therapy dog!

You should offer to cover the expenses. Because your dog attacked another dog.
You should have taken precautions to prevent such an incident.

Since she is in training to be a therapy dog, I think it might help if you talk to the trainer about it.
You didn't say if she left your property to go on the other dog's property to bite it. That's important to know.
You are in violation of leash laws for not having control over your dog. And I don't think you should check on the dog tomorrow, but maybe in a day or two just check back to make sure the dog is doing ok.
I see no benefit from your reporting. Your neighbor might let it go since it was small. Wait and see, but I think that, so long as you learn to control your dog, you may not have any further problems with your neighbor.

If the neighbor wanted to they could have your dog put down.
Also, your dog would have only been protecting his house/land.
And if the dog came out of the house without lead or anything it is mostly their fault.

Well, u see ur neighbor's dog should have not been loose. They could very well report ur dog but their dog should not have been loose!!
Even if they do report ur dog I could not see much been done as the neighbor's dog was not tied up or on a lead.
Unless ur dog has bitten someone or dog before. If so, u are responsible because u knew ur dog was a danger to people & other dogs .. so really you should have had ur dog muzzled.

I am pretty sure we're liable for anything our dogs do. Dogs sense things we don't see. That's pretty scary hope it works out okay

Your dog can't be a therapy dog. It won't pass any of the tests. Yes, you need to pass tests and certify the dog so it can become a therapy dog but it will fail them all.
Dog aggression, no recall, and being unpredictable means the dog can't be a therapy dog. No hospital or school and nursing home would allow this dog
You need to report the attack and keep the dog properly confined. NO dog can show any aggression and be a therapy dog.

I suggest you get your dog a muzzle. Therefore no harm can come to any other dogs on walks, and your dog would have no reason to be put down.

I think you have to speak about your dog biting another dog with a vet, maybe your dog trainer.
