Russian Borzoi - the aristocrat of the dogs' world and the favorite pet of all-time Hollywood icons. Are Borzois good for an ordinary dog owner? This nostalgic video takes a professional look at one of the most respected dog breeds.
People say:
Anshi Jay: Wow! There such beautiful dogs!!!
Elizabeth Hudson: my sister looks like these dogs I swear
Opius321: they are kinda cool. these guys look like they have been hit by the Russian ugly train and dragged for several miles
Ashley Paugel: My husky will crush this dog
White People: This is one of the most beautiful breeds out there, imho. If I lived in a private house, I'd totally get one.
borzoi -: I have two borzois, one mostly white and brown, the other black and white which looks almost exactly like the one at 2:19. THEY WERE THE BEST DOGS EVER.

channelswimmer: I know Borzois are considered "ugly," but we had a great Borzoi for many years. He was truly hilarious. He also had nice markings and was pretty really cute....looked like a lil horse at first. :) He was kinda 'dumb,' but super friendly, sweet, and funny...wonderful personality.
They are tall, skinny, and lightning fast. Mine was also really sweet. People were often apprehensive, but he was the sweetest thing. Really, just funny, friendly, and sweet. Can't say enough good things about him
Joyce Riverdale: I LOVE Borzois! I've owned a few breeds, but none have ever touched my heart like my borzoi has! I'll always own at least one at all times -no matter what! They're gentle, quiet, loving, soft, unique, and beautiful! What more could you want?! :)
RockAndRollRockOn: In general, how much exercise do Borzois need?
Mark Gailmor: Depends on how old the dog is and what type of food you're feeding it. Borzoi can live a very long time on Gentle Giants Canine Cuisine. However, if you're feeding your dog some other food and it's older than two then you can walk it a few blocks a day and it's happy. Younger than two and you want to take them out to play for at least an hour of running and playing.
CM Walker: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, therefore, IMHO, the Borzoi is beautiful, no doubt. I have my first one now for about a month. White and cream in color. I can attest that she is her own dog. Somewhat stubborn. Doesn't change a thing.
I love this dog as much as I do my Greyhound. Big yards are helpful. I walk mine as often as I can. That usually means 5 times a week and for her long walks aren't necessary since she's 6. After 2 blocks she's lagging behind.

BluegrassGirl94: I had a Borzoi when I was little. His name was Squiggly. Watching Borzoi videos makes me miss him... I used to ride around on his back, and he put up with SO much. I love this breed. RIP Squiggly!
Mistah Reye: I say general consensus because I think all dogs are cute, but I understand that other people think some breeds aren't. But borzois? I can't fathom someone seeing them and anything but streamlined fabulousness.

Hi Folks!
Borzois are beautiful. To the gentleman who said his dog would eat a Borzoi , don’t bet on it. They can be bad to the bone. Why would you even bring up fighting dogs?
They are to be loved not fought ( my opinion).
I have a Dogo Argentinian and a Turkish Sivas Kangal and neither one of them is a pushover, but the last thing I want is to see them fight anything tougher than a cheap steak!
Thank you all.
Brian

I agree. Borzoi is a surprisingly strong dog but it’s not for fighting.
