World Dog Show 2015 Results

World Dog Show 2015, the most prestigious dog show worldwide, has taken place in Milan, Italy, on June 11-14. Almost 30,000 dogs of 340 recognized breeds were exhibited on the rings of Fiera Milano pavilions under the attentive eyes of 200 international judges.

A number of excellent dogs, representing 10 main Russian dog breeds, were among the notable participants and winners of this international dog competition. They included Borzoi, Black Russian Terrier, South Russian, Central Asian and Caucasian Shepherds, as well as Laika, Samoyed, and Russian Toy.

The most awaited dog show in the world, conducted yearly by FCI (World Canine Organization), was very spectacular. Every day the Main Ring hosted various magnificent shows, such as Dog Dance, Frisbee Dog, and the Flyball. One of the biggest events of the show was the presentation of an ancient breed called the Dog of Fonni from Sardinia that has been used since ancient times to protect and guard sheep and properties.

World Winner Dog Show 2015

Best in Show competition of the World Dog Show 2015 in Milan was won by a Bearded Collie Ops I Did It Again Del Cuore Impavido owned by a Olga Klimova from Russia.

World Dog Show 2016 in Moscow

For the Russian participants, the Milan World Dog Show has started in a tragic way. A team of five Russian handlers and 11 dogs were killed in Belarus on June 8 when the van in which they were traveling to Milan had a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer. Reported on board the van were Pavel Voronov, Darya Boldyreva, Tatyana Skoropupova, Maria Baturina, and Julia Khoklova. Neither people nor dogs have survived this awful accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer has died too.

The Milan Dog Show 2015 has opened with a mourning.

It has closed with the passing over of the FCI flag to the Russian Kennel Federation, that will for the first time host the World Dog Show 1916 in Moscow.
