The Caucasian Mountain Dog is not a rare breed in Serbia. But still many dog lovers in our country cannot answer the question: "What should a real Caucasian Shepherd be like?"

Our dog breeding kennel, the Ruski Izvor (FCI registration # 4160), is into the breeding of Caucasian Ovcharka (CO) and Central Asian Ovcharka (CAO) dogs for quite a long time. We own and run the kennel with my husband, Dragan, in a quiet and beautiful place not far from Beograd.
Wishing to develop our breeding material, we bought two females from Russia – IVETA, and NIJANA. Both of them soon became champions, and they are now the breeding basis of our kennel. We are sure that their breeding career will be successful.
In 2004 our kennel started breeding of Central Asian Shepherds, too. At that time we imported two charming CAO puppies from Russia - NAZAR and NEZENIN MIA.
Dragan and I make our best to keep our dogs comfortable. Their cages are large enough, and there is a big yard and a fenced space for walks. We cooperate with the best breeders in Russia and other countries.
I’d like to thank you for your interest in these fascinating Russian dog breeds – the Caucasian Shepherd, and the Central Asian Shepherd. If you happen to visit Beograd you’ll be very welcome to Ruski Izvor dog breeding kennel. We’ll do our best to present these breeds to you in their best colors, and will help you to get to know them as well as possible. Dragan and I are absolutely sure: once you know them - you'll love them.
