What is the Turtle Buster bloodline in Pit Bulls?

Q: Can anyone tell me about the bloodline Turtle Buster in Pitbulls?
I have 2 female pits whose mom is a red nose, their dad is a Turtle Buster? I have tried searching for this bloodline and really haven't found anything. Any info would be great!

Ok, Turtle Buster was a famous dog years ago, he was tested and undefeated ( i am against fighting) He was not bred a lot due to being stolen from his only. He also produced Fargo one of the hardest biting pits ever recorded.

Turtlebuster comes from sire (kingfish) males are usually 45 to 55 lb. and females 28 to 35 lb.

It's probably a "made up" bloodline. There are a ton of bloodlines, mostly from breeders making their "own" bloodlines up. Is the dad American (with a black nose), a Rednose, or a Bluenose? That's all that matters.

The nose color means NOTHING! smh... Where do these people come from?

A made-up bloodline - That's not true! I am sitting here right now with a TurtleBuster APBT named Whittle’s Miss Indica Haze. The Turtlebuster bloodline is a very old line a very good line of dogs. She is about 100lb at 1and a half years old and still has growing to do. She is what people call the game a true TurtleBuster is a pure breed game dog. Indica gets the TurtleBuster from her dad and she is Jeep on her mom's side. Look it up not sure what webpage but the TurtleBuster comes out of the 30′s.

The first TurtleBuster was used not to fight but to crush turtle shells. The dogs would be put in a pit with turtles and the first dog to bust the shell was the winner. TurtleBuster is a great bloodline if you have a true Turtlebuster then you are very lucky. Take extra good care of your dog. If you have a full-blooded APBT you have a great dog no matter what bloodline it is.

If u have a 100lb “Turtlebuster” bloodline “pit”, u don’t have a REAL APBT, u have a Bully. Sorry.

Answer by Turtlebuster
I have a TB puppy sitting here right now and no 100lb dog is a TB dog, I can promise that. TB blood can be found still to this day, I know a breeder who has preserved the bloodline with some really tight-bred TB dogs.

I looked at several books I have and there is no turtle buster to be found. I have three Wallace Hemphill Old Family Reds. All are UKC CH and 1 is Schutzhund ll. I also called the breeder I got mine from because you made me curious. He's been breeding for 35 years and all he could find was a kennel using that name but no bloodline.

I figured he would know, he was a good friend of Richard Stratton, considered by many to be a top authority in pit bulls. He said to look at your pedigree and see what else is on there, maybe farther back, like 5 or 6 generations. Good Luck.

Triplebred kingfish, sire and dam are from old lines …….and the bloodline is known to throw hard-mouthed dogs….

Had half of the litter off of a dog named Black Casey to WidowMakers Echo. Casey was one of his last direct sons, he was 13yrs when I got the last litter off of Casey from Hobie. Had a female that was shown 2 times the second time was into Gr.Ch.Grip for her Gr.Ch and they rubbed but never used her again, we tried for another show they retired her after that.

Foxy was a red nose and the best 42/43 I ever had lots of people ducked her. I was the original owner of Digi who was Gr.Ch.Butterbeans mother and she was a good Buck/Maloney cross but couldn’t hold a feather against Foxy, which they got into it before I sent her to Cam2 kennels, the police killed foxy because diggi got off the chain and foxy almost killed her but my neighbor called the police and the rest is history.

That whole litter was good to great and though I no longer have dogs, I never had another one like her.

It's just a kennel name. Doesn't really mean anything.

There are different bloodlines in a pit bull's pedigree that were bred to enhance specific traits of the dog!
I don't know why people how don't own and know nothing about pit bulls are the first ones to jump up and open their mouths!
