Domestic or pet dogs can enter Canada for any period of time (permanent stays, temporary visits, or in transit visits) without quarantine from any country. Because rabies is a federally regulated disease affecting dogs, Canada's import requirements take into consideration the rabies status of the country of export.

Outfit the dogs as sled dogs and tell the border guards you are looking for the Iditarod starting line.

Well, it depends what kind of dogs, Bullies are banned in most of Canada. so the cost would be death
If you flying or driving then there is a cost.
You better make sure they are up to date on shots and have the records in the glovebox, for quick excess. Other than that I don’t know if there is a cost at the border?? You might want to call the border patrol or look online. then when you get over the border you will need to license them and that will cost you. So depending on how many dogs you have, I bet about $ 500 tops. Good luck

I don’t live in Canada, I live in America, however, this is the same with all countries. If you move from one country with a dog, you actually can’t. You must send your dog to a shelter or a rescue BEFORE you move to the country you want to move to.
If you want to own a dog in the country, you must move there first, then you can either buy or adopt a dog from that country’s shelter or breeder (make sure the breeder’s reputable, first :P),but only from that country’s shelter or breeder. By the way, don’t abandon/ditch your dog before you move to the country that you want to move to, that would be just plain cruel.

If you’re driving across the border with them it won’t cost anything to bring them across you just need a health certificate from the vet stating that they’ve been vaccinated for rabies and are in good health.
I just moved to Canada 4 yrs ago from the States and my dogs have been back and forth across the border with me numerous times, never had any problems.
