Borzoi Pictures

The “cover model” usually refers to a beautiful girl or a woman whose picture features on the front cover of a magazine.

Cover Dog

Our first choice for the Cover Dog is Ruby, a beautiful female Russian wolfhound Borzoi, whose photo is placed on Flickr by Kim Fleming, a wonderful photographer also known as myriorama. The great picture of Ruby walking in the wood creates a feeling of a fairytale. The skill of the photographer is just fabulous.

Borzoi, the Russian wolfhound, is one of the most beautiful and elegant of all dog breeds. Favored by Royal families and celebrities, this Russian dog over time inspires numerous artists, sculptors, and photographers to create masterpieces of Borzoi art and Borzoi pictures.

This time we take a closer look at the wonderful Borzoi pictures published on Flickr by the two outstanding photographers, Paul L. Nettles and Kimberly Rama Fleming (myriorama).

Paul L. Nettles, originating from Houma, LA, and now staying in Alexandria, is, in fact, a photographer who loves trains and knows how to take pictures of them. With his Nikon DSLR, he also fiddles about with nature scenes, rural decay, action shooting, and a little portraiture.

Paul's collection of Borzoi pictures is quite large too, and it always attracts the attention of Flickr's members and visitors searching for photos of Russian dogs.

Here are just two of his Borzoi pics.

Kim Fleming from Donalds, SC, USA, also known as myriorama, is a great naturalist and a recognized authority in macro photography. Most of the pics Kim published on Flickr were taken within an 86-acre plot of land that includes creeks, a pond, woods, and a field in Abbeville County, South Carolina. Besides magnificent wildlife pictures, Kim has granted Flickr viewers with a tremendous gallery of Borzoi pictures, starring the female wolfhound Ruby.

Here are just two examples of her Borzoi photos.
