Q: What are the largest bags of dry dog food?
I have three very large German Shepherds. I feed them 52 lb. bags of "Pedigree Adult Dry Dog Food" but they can go through a bag in about 5 to 7 days. Is there a place that sells a larger size bag of pedigree or similar dog food? Like a 95lb. or 100 lb. bag? (San Diego, California)

Try buying at Costco or some other big box store maybe? I'm wondering though if you fed them a higher quality dog food maybe they wouldn't go through it so fast??? interesting question

No, they do not sell them in a larger quantity, 52 lbs is the biggest dog food bag I know.
I would start buying in bulk.

First, I'd get them on decent food. Maybe Blue Buffalo, or Taste of the Wild.
Kirkland (Costco) or 4Health (Tractor Supply) are good ones that are around $ 20/$ 30 for a good-sized bag that is better quality than other grocery brands.
How much are you feeding your dogs? I think if they're eating that much that fast, you're probably feeding them too much. On good food, German shepherds shouldn't need more than 3 to 4 cups of food per day.

I've looked everywhere myself and never found the food in a larger size.

I have 2-100 lb. boys and a 6 lb. girl. Together they eat a little less than 50 lbs. a month. I have a feeder that holds a full 50 lb. bag and is available to them 24/7.

52 lbs….. 22 kgs .. that's an odd amount. Most UK ones are 15 kgs bags. (only out of interest)
I don't know of anyone that does bigger, however, we have quite a few who do deals on more than one bag at a time
Have to say though, after feeding Rottweilers of all ages I would never go through 52 lbs per week for 3 dogs even at their peak of eating before it comes down a bit at about 8 to 10 months old.

My foster adult dogs of up to 50 kgs will go through one 15 kgs bag per month. Personally, if they need that amount of food to keep a stable weight which is what you are after then you might be better off with better quality food and feed less. The trouble is with pedigree is that it is so highly marketed that it can be priced up there with the best even when it is not anywhere near the best.

Doubt it – what pet owner is going to be able to lift a bag of this size! I have a hard enough time with a normal 20kg bag these days.

Smaller bags are better to keep the food fresh and dry. My Great Dane is happy with the Victor dog food from Texas that is supplied in 40 lb bags. It's really good.
Find an outlet that will give you a deal on buying bulk.

if you have 3 nice dogs like GSDs you should NOT be feeding them pedigree. NO dog should be fed pedigree. it has horrible stuff in it just like alpo or atta boy. costcos lamb and rice food has no grain and is reasonably priced. the reson they go through so much food is that they dont get enough NUTRITION from cheap food. do some research. we give my 50 pound dogs(2 ) costco food and its 26 bucks for 3 weeks of food. if you have enough responcibility to have 3 very large dogs you should have enough responcibility and money to take care of them properly with at least good quality food, not the crap they are currently being fed.

they didn’t ask for your criticism….they asked for a larger bag of dog food…who are you to judge them for what they are feeding their dogs….like most people money doesn’ t come easy…if you think they should be feeding their dogs better food then you pay for it…..or shut up….

Hello, I have 2 large breeds as well, a German shepherd and a labrador. They eat a lot. Did you ever find a larger bag over 50 pounds?
